Obituary: Dzifa Attivor

The final funeral rites for the late Transport Minister under the erstwhile John Mahama NDC government, Hon. Mrs. Dzifa Aku Attivor has been arranged to be held today at the forecourt of the State House here in Accra.

The gathering is expected to be graced by former President John Mahama, other former ministers of state in the NDC regime, current ministers of state under the ruling NPP, a delegation from the seat of government, Jubilee House, NDC national leadership and party executives, NDC bigwigs, families, friends, and supporters, and sympathisers of the umbrella political family.

Former Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor, passed on at age 65 after falling sick for some time.

She died on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.

Born on 22nd February 1956, Dzifa Attivor is known as a politician and a businesswoman.

She was Minister for Transport in Ghana until her resignation in December 2015 due to a controversial bus re-branding contract.

She was appointed in February 2013 by President John Mahama after the Ghanaian general election in December 2012.
