He has been in the music industry for close to a decade working with the likes of Dr. Cryme, Stay Jay, Flowkingstone, MOG Beatz, Ahkan among others and Kwao says his greatest dream is to see talents dreams come to pass.
According to Kwao who is currently the road manager for rapper Amerado, there are so many talents in Ghana who need help and he is all ready to help such talents.
“It has not been easy managing artistes but I love the job I do especially when I see that the artiste has great talents. Having to promote an artiste who is not known to become a popular artiste comes with a lot of sacrifices and I find fulfillment when I achieve my goal.
You need to be ready for anything. The attitude of some artistes being ungrateful and getting money for promotion can be tedious” he stated To Kwao who is also the publicist for actress Nikki Samonas, there has to be the connection when managing an artiste so that both of you can flow well.
“What I do with my artiste is that when I get them to the height they need then I go for different artistes. I normally prefer to work with underground artistes and get all the publicity they need to get to the highest height then I move to the next artiste,” he told Graphic Showbiz in an interview recently.
Real name Kwao Richard but mostly referred to as Kwao Lezzes-Tyt, Kwao who likes to keep a low profile has plans to establish a record label and sign on more artistes who have talent but do not have the means to shine.
“We have just few record labels in Ghana and I believe I can do better with a record label. I have to get a good team and we are good to go. I want to use this opportunity to big up the likes of MicBurnerz Music and Lynx Entertainment for their effort in the music industry,” he said.
Kwao told young artistes to be grateful when they get to the top.
“Some of these young artistes are ungrateful and as a result makes it difficult for individuals and record labels to help them. You help artistes and when they get to the top then they turn their back on you. Such moves make it difficult for investors to go all out and help” he said.
Apart from managing artistes Kwao is also a digital media consultant, social media account manager, and corporate and personal branding expert.
