As I Grow (NGO) which is based in Larteh Akuapem in the Eastern Region has over the weekend provided the people of Miawani with a mechanised borehole.

Over the years, the NGO has been providing lifeline programs, donations, and activities to help deprived rural communities in the country in terms of education, women Empowerment, teenage pregnancy, water and sanitation, youth development, general rural development, and agricultural.

As part of the organisation’s tireless advocacy for safe water and sanitation awareness has finally seen the light of day by providing a first-class borehole for a remote Community in the Suhum Municipality in the Eastern Region.

The project through various documentaries and advocacy work by As I Grow NGO, realised the support of KJM Foundation and MEDLEY Choir ( Fadama) collaborating in the aim of providing portable water for the underprivileged communities in Ghana.

Speaking to the media, The Chief Executive officer of As I Grow, Mr. Isaac Debrah Bekoe praised the good works of KJM FOUNDATION AND MEDLEY CHOIR for their quick response in supporting the idea of providing safe water for the Miawani community project.

“I am very grateful to KJM and MEDLEY for such a rapid response and commitment they showered in providing safe water for this community, this is what life is all about helping and supporting the underprivileged when called upon”

He lamented how deprived communities are suffering and experiencing myriads of waterborne diseases and challenges due to the neglect by the government.

“I think the government and other stakeholders should try their best in helping such communities, at this 21st century and a country like Ghana is still lacking on providing safe water for it citizen’s that’s a big problem” he chastised

He further called on organisations to come in and help other communities in similar situations as his outfit is advocating for safe and portable water for 50 communities nationwide.
