In a commendable gesture, Hon. Japhet Festus Gbede, Assemblymember for Wuxor, Have, and Sremanu Electoral Area, has donated mathematical sets, Cash, and other vital educational resources to support B.E.C.E candidates from his Electoral Area.

The donation aims to assist the students in their ongoing exams and encourage them to excel academically.

Mr. Gbede’s altruistic act has earned him widespread attention, with many praising his dedication to the well-being of his Electorates. Emphasizing the significance of education, he remarked, “Education is the key to success, and it is imperative that those in political leadership invest in the foundational educational ladder of the basic students.”

During the presentation, the Assemblymember emphasized the importance of quality education and urged the students to  shun examination malpractices and marry their books at this critical hour.

While expressing disappointment in the leadership’s role in supporting education in the constituency, Hon. Gbede extended his gratitude to his donors for their support in enabling him to aid needy students at a critical time in their lives.

He lamented his inability to donate to students across the Constituency due to economic constraints but encouraged those who didn’t benefit to remain hopeful for academic success.

“It is unfortunate that the current economic situation has limited my ability to support all students, as I would have wished. However, I am grateful for the support of my donors, which has enabled me to make a positive impact on some lives.

I urge those who did not benefit from this gesture should not to be discouraged or emotionally tortured,” Hon. Gbede said in an interview with the media.
