In the heart of Morocco Mall in Casablanca, global sports brand PUMA brought the country of Morocco together through a 120-person flashmob led by Moroccan singer and artist Karima Gouit, creating a moment that reflected the energy, pride and spirit of the nation.
Bringing together football fans, media, creators and members of the local community, the surprise activation transformed one of the country’s busiest shopping destinations into a celebration of passion and support for the Moroccan national team ahead of their World Cup fixture on Friday evening.
The celebration concluded with a traditional Dakka Marrakchia performance, showcasing the rich heritage of Morocco whilst blending music and culture into the experience.
The activation captured the attention of shoppers throughout Morocco Mall, drawing crowds across multiple levels as the surprise performance unfolded. Spectators paused to film the moment on their phones while fans joined the celebrations.
The reaction from the crowd’s in attendance reflected the excitement surrounding the Atlas Lions and Morocco as a whole, with one fan describing the show as ‘amazing’.
Another supporter shared his hopes for the national team, saying, ‘nobody is going to sleep’, with ‘everyone hitting the streets in pure joy’ hoping to celebrate the achievements of the team in the United States.
