Continuous heavy rain since yesterday has caused widespread flooding across Accra and surrounding areas. Several roads, bridges, and low‑lying communities are severely affected.
Areas and routes to avoid (if possible)
N1 Highway: multiple submerged sections causing major traffic halts.
Kwame Nkrumah Interchange: heavy waterlogging.
Accra–Kasoa stretch and Weija: high water levels, dangerous driving conditions.
Tse Addo / Teshie bushroad: section heavily flooded; Kor Bridge at Tse Addo flooded.
Tema–Accra Beach Road: avoid this morning.
LEKMA – Kofi Annan stretch: impassable, avoid.
Mallam, Achimota, Apenkwa toward Tesano, Spintex, Atomic (Madina), Kaneshie, Darkuman Junction: severely affected.
Dzorwulu (pig farm to Achimota Forest): flooded and causing heavy congestion.
GNAT Road bridge: flooded.
Bridge near Astro Turf connecting to Fertilizer Road: flooded.
GREDA Estate: no way out this morning.

Tema motor way and sakumono roads: flooded
Some information picked are as following:
- Weija – Kasoa Road is completely blocked
- N1 is literally submerged
- Fiesta Royale is flooded
- Ghana Standards Authority to Shiashie is blocked with only one lane accessible
- Atomic Roundabout is flooded and blocked
- Legon-GIMPA By-Pass Road is also blocked around the new Law School building
- Alajo is flooded, etc.
