“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Jesus was about to leave this world and return to His Father. Before His departure, He prepared His disciples for the persecution and hardships they would face because of their faith in Him.
He assured them that although they would experience trouble in this world, they would also have peace in Him.
Jesus presents two places where we can build our lives: in the world or in Christ. The world is marked by trouble, uncertainty, and opposition, but Christ is the source of enduring peace.
True peace resides in Christ. Those who trust in Him can experience His peace even while facing the pressures, trials, and systems of this world.
In Christ, we find peace; in the world, we find trouble. Remaining in Him enables us to enjoy the peace that the world can neither give nor take away.
Jesus is able to give us this peace because He has overcome the world. His victory is our assurance that no trial is greater than His power.
Peace resides in Jesus, and whoever finds Him, finds true peace. Shalom.
Prayer:Pray for the peace that is found in Christ to fill your heart and every area of your life.
