The Bread of Life

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35

Jesus, on many occasions, revealed His deity through significant statements such as this one.

By declaring, “I AM,” Jesus revealed His divinity (Exodus 3:14).

When Jesus said, “I am the bread of life,” He meant more than something to be consumed. He is the Bread and the satisfaction of life. In this declaration, Jesus calls us into a relationship with Him. We can have the Bread because we have Him; He Himself is the Bread.

Again, Jesus shows us that He is more than the source of satisfaction and ultimate fulfilment. He is our satisfaction and fulfilment.

Our deepest satisfaction and fulfilment are found in the person of Christ.

Having Jesus is having true satisfaction. Without Him, our souls remain without what they ultimately need to experience true contentment.

When we come to Jesus by faith, He satisfies the deepest needs of our innermost being.

Jesus is the Bread of Life who satisfies us when nothing else can. Shalom.

Prayer: Pray that Jesus would satisfy you with all that your innermost being desires.
