Pattern of Good Works
In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, Titus 2:7
The righteousness that God imputes to us through Christ must be reflected in the way we live.
A transformed heart should produce a pattern of godly living.
A pattern is a consistent design that runs through a fabric. In the same way, God expects those who have been made righteous in Christ to demonstrate a consistent pattern of godly living.
Godly living includes a life of integrity, reverence for God, and incorruptibility.
The goal of godly living is that even those who oppose our faith in Christ would have nothing against us because of the way we live (Titus 2:8).
The transformation that takes place in our hearts because Christ lives in us must be evident in a righteous pattern of life.
Integrity, sound speech, self-control, and incorruptibility, among others, are fruits of a changed life.
Wherever we are and whatever we do, our lives should display a consistent pattern of righteousness. Shalom.
Prayer: Pray for the grace to demonstrate a godly pattern of character in every area of your life.
