The much-anticipated Ghana Environmental Month (GEM25) Launch and Summit has successfully taken place at Knutsford University, East Legon, bringing together key stakeholders, policymakers, and advocates committed to environmental sustainability.
The event, heralded as a defining moment for Ghana’s green agenda, set the stage for nationwide initiatives aimed at addressing waste management, climate change, and eco-friendly development.
We are honored to welcome Mr. Wakefield Wisdom Ackuaku, Executive Director of the National Commission on Culture, and Madam Ama A. Ofori Antwi, Executive Secretary of the Environmental Service Providers Association (ESPA), as our Special Guests of Honour, whose invaluable expertise and leadership continue to shape Ghana’s cultural preservation, environmental sustainability, and national development.
In attendance were government officials, corporate leaders, and environmental experts, all united in their mission to promote a cleaner, greener, and bluer Ghana.
Among the dignitaries were Madam Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communication and Corporate Affairs at Zoomlion Ghana and Mr. Christopher Lartey Director, GIRC Center – Ministry Of Environment, Science, Technology And Innovation (MESTI), both of whom delivered thought-provoking speeches on sustainable solutions and public-private partnerships.
One of the major highlights of the event was the keynote address attributed to Mr. John Kwamena Essel, Pro-Chancellor of Knutsford University, whose powerful insights on the role of education and strategic collaborations in driving environmental progress resonated deeply with attendees.
His thought leadership continues to inspire efforts toward a sustainable and eco-conscious Ghana.
The summit featured engaging panel discussions, with a standout presence from the celebrated Kwame Nsiah Apau, popularly known as Okyeame Kwame—a Climate Change Ambassador, Philanthropist, and Multiple Award-Winning Artiste.
His deep insights, passionate advocacy, and commitment to environmental sustainability enriched the discourse, inspiring attendees to take bold action toward a greener, cleaner, and more climate-conscious Ghana.
Speaking to media representatives, the Group CEO of EduEnter Group Ghana commended Knutsford University, Zoomlion Ghana, and the Ghana Environmental Month Secretariat for their unwavering dedication in establishing GEM25 as a dynamic platform for impactful discussions, strategic collaborations, and actionable solutions aimed at fostering a sustainable and environmentally-conscious Ghana.
The event concluded with the presentation of citations and recognitions to distinguished environmental champions, celebrating their contributions to Ghana’s sustainability movement.
