Accra, Ghana Wednesday, 12th August 2026

DORiSA Consult officially entered Ghana’s business advisory space this week with the launch of its Monthly Business Advocacy Forum, a new platform dedicated to championing sustainable business growth across Ghana and beyond.

The maiden edition, held virtually on Google Meet, attracted more than 74 participants and featured a distinguished lineup of academics, faith leaders, and industry experts.

The event was convened by Dr. Doris Aryee, Executive Director of DORiSA Consult and a full-time Lecturer at Pentecost University’s Faculty of Business Administration.

With over 20 years of experience spanning academia, industry, and organizational development, Dr. Aryee designed the forum as a recurring space where business owners, policymakers, and thought leaders can engage on the issues shaping enterprise growth in Ghana.

The program commenced with a prayer led by Elder Felix Kobla Zoka, setting a reflective tone for the occasion. This was followed by a Guest of Honour address delivered by Prof. Dominic D. Damoah. The session featured Prof. Richard Kojo Tawiah as Guest Speaker, while Dr. Isaac Benson presented the keynote address.

The formal launch of DORiSA Consult was officiated by Aps. Sampson Adu, with Prof. Richard Afedzie offering special remarks.

A central thread running through the forum was the idea that sustainability is not a single pursuit but a balancing act between two dimensions: financial sustainability and environmental sustainability. Speakers challenged participants to rethink profit-making not as an end in itself but as something that must be pursued responsibly, alongside a deliberate commitment to protecting the environment.

Prof. Damoah expanded on this by outlining three practical pillars for organizations chasing sustainable growth:

• Financial and environmental responsibility: Generating and managing money conscientiously, while actively safeguarding the ecosystems businesses operate within.Strategic partnerships: Building a circle of at least five reliable people or partners to lean on when times get difficult. As Prof. Damoah put it, an inability to name five such people may be a warning sign that an individual or organization is heading in the wrong direction.Investment in people: Prioritizing training and upskilling, both for employees and for oneself, in a fast-changing world where relying on a single tool or skill set is no longer enough.Dr. Isaac Benson added a human dimension to the conversation, arguing that sustainability extends beyond the environment to how people treat one another. Respect and dignity in the workplace, he noted, create a more peaceful and productive environment and that same ethic of care, extended into the wider community, contributes to safer, cleaner surroundings.

Beyond the formal presentations, the forum carried moments of personal reflection. Prof. Richard Kojo Tawiah recounted receiving support from a lecturer whose class he had rarely attended, a reminder, he said, that help often comes from unexpected places, including people with different beliefs or backgrounds.

A sobering case study also featured in the discussions: a business partner who lost £3 million in investment due to selfish leadership decisions.

The story underscored a recurring message of the forum that trust and transparency are not optional extras in business, but preconditions for survival.

The forum distilled its discussions into four clear commitments for participants to carry forward:

1. Invest in your team: Make people development a strategic priority, not an afterthought.Understand the policy environment: Engage with institutions like IFS and advocate for business-friendly reforms.Balance both sustainabilities: Track financial performance while actively minimizing environmental impact.Build and nurture networks: Identify and maintain at least five trusted partners or mentors to lean on during hard times. What’s Next for DORiSA Consult
With the launch complete, DORiSA Consult has committed to hosting the Business Advocacy Forum monthly, on the second Wednesday of every month from 7pm to 8pm on Google Meet.

The next edition is scheduled for Wednesday, 9th September 2026 on google meet. The organization will offer a broader suite of services alongside the forum, including counseling, executive coaching, corporate event management, business advisory and HR services positioning itself as a year-round partner for businesses navigating Ghana’s evolving economic landscape.

For a leader whose career has spanned administration, counseling psychology and management education, the forum reflects Dr. Aryee’s long-standing philosophy: building people-centered institutions that lead with purpose, deliver with integrity and grow through transformation.

The event was skillfully moderated by Mrs. Barbara Ennin, who served as Master of Ceremony (MC), and concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Madam Godsway Amekudzi.
