With Spirit, Soul and Body
“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.” Psalms 63:1
Psalm 63 was penned by David while he was in the wilderness of Judah. In the midst of the dry and parched desert, David sought after the Lord.
David sought after God with his spirit, soul, and body. This teaches us that God must be acknowledged and sought after with our whole being. Our spirit must yearn for God with a strong desire to encounter Him.
Our soul must continually thirst after God.
David found himself in a desert where water was scarce, yet his deepest thirst was for God. His physical circumstances did not distract him from seeking the Lord.
Our present circumstances must never become a distraction from seeking after God. Whether we are in a season of abundance or in a dry and difficult season, our desire for God must remain constant.
If we are to encounter God for who He truly is, we must seek Him with our whole being.
We will find God when we seek Him with all our heart. As we seek Him with our spirit, soul, and body, His presence becomes increasingly evident in our lives.
May our greatest thirst always be for God, and may our deepest desire always be to know and encounter Him. Shalom.
Prayer:Pray that your hunger for the presence of God would keep growing.
