Of Propaganda, Broken Promises And Shameless Deceit As Foreign Affairs Minister—NPP GERMANY Exposes Okudzeto Ablakwa

NPP GERMANY Branch is baffled that the Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, appears to be turning the Ministry into a theatre of deception and propaganda.

In a country where political gimmickry has replaced governance and facts are buried beneath populist spin, one man stands tall as the undisputed master of propaganda: Ghana’s so-called Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Under the cloak of patriotism and youthful charisma, Ablakwa continues to peddle half-truths, misinformation, and blatant lies—all in a desperate bid to score cheap political points for the opposition NDC. But enough is enough.

The time has come to strip this man of his rhetorical mask and expose the dangerous deceit he is inflicting upon the Ghanaian public.

It is high time Ghanaians saw through the smoke and mirrors and called out his relentless attempt to repackage NPP achievements as NDC milestones, particularly on the issue of the chip-embedded passport.

Let the truth be told: the chip-embedded biometric passport was NOT introduced by Ablakwa, nor the NDC. That honour belongs to the NPP administration under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

In fact, President Akufo-Addo was the first Ghanaian to receive the new chip-embedded passport in a widely publicized rollout years ago. The records are there. The pictures are there. The facts are irrefutable.

So why is Ablakwa shamelessly trying to rewrite history? It’s bad enough that Ablakwa is seeking undeserved praise, but what’s worse is his failure to deliver on his own promises.

The kind of propaganda Ablakwa is peddling erodes trust in public institutions. It fuels cynicism and division. And it sets a dangerous precedent where the truth no longer matters as long as the performance is convincing.

The truth must be defended. And Ablakwa must be held accountable—not just for what he says, but for what he deliberately chooses to hide.

During his parliamentary vetting and media engagements, he assured Ghanaians that passport fees would be reviewed downwards. Yet today, the price remains unchanged—if not unbearable for the ordinary Ghanaian.

When confronted with the failure, Ablakwa now says he is “waiting for the Finance Minister until August.” That’s not leadership. That’s deflection and delay tactics.

Let’s not forget the disgraceful propaganda campaign over the visa and passport courier services contract awarded to Fred Kwarteng.

Ablakwa has made it his mission to brand the deal as fraudulent and illegal, repeatedly throwing accusations without context or clarity. But documents and public testimonies—including from Ghana’s former Ambassador to the U.S., Hajia Alima Mahama—have made it abundantly clear:
Fred Kwarteng’s company had a valid, lawfully awarded contract.

So why is Ablakwa obsessed with demonizing the deal? Perhaps it serves his larger political game plan—to mislead Ghanaians into believing the NDC is on some moral high horse, while cloaking their own incompetence in fabricated scandals.

If this is the kind of leadership we can expect from Ablakwa and his party, then Ghanaians must prepare for a government that excels not in governance, but in gaslighting.

It’s one thing to disagree on policy; it’s another to deliberately lie, distract, and manipulate for political capital.

Ablakwa should spend less time crafting narratives and more time fixing what he has promised. Until then, his antics remain nothing more than glorified political theatre.

Ghanaians deserve better than a Foreign Affairs Minister turned spin doctor. The lies must stop.

The Foreign Ministry is a sensitive and strategic arm of government—it must be led with truth, diplomacy, and decorum, not clout and theatrics.

God Bless Our Homeland Ghana!!!

Long Live Ghana, long live the Elephant Party!!!!
