The historic MTN FA Cup final clash is set between Dreams FC and Nations FC who will battle for glory, silverware, and a place in continental football at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The match has much at stake aside football, because the two clubs have proved that they can do what glamorous clubs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak failed to do.
While Hearts have record wins than any club, Kotoko are also the defending champions.
They are also crowd pullers and it is their fans who will come to Legon to support the two finalists.
Dreams FC have a few fans in Accra, but Nations FC have to bring down supporters from Bosomtwi in the Ashanti region.
The final is going to be exciting because both are playing away from home.
Nations lost against Accra Hearts of Oak in their Premier League game over the weekend and Dreams won their league game against AsanteKotoko, giving them the confidence to go for their second FA Cup triumph.
Nations know they have lost grip of the Premier league which may go to Medeama so their focus is more on the FA Cup.
The journey to the final has not been smooth, but they were able to sail through.
We hope officiating will be fair and football fans will troop to the Legon Stadium to give the match the finals touch.
The last final at Legon was well organised and we pray for an improvement.
Certainly MTN will reward fans who turn up at the venue.
Both clubs have quality players to watch like Razak Simpson of Nations.
They also have notable players like Emmanuel Annor, Raymond Oko Grippman, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah and Emmanuel Boahene who have also been part of the team’s core.
Nations FC’s home ground is the famous Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, located at Abrankese in the Bosomtwe District near Kumasi.
They have dared to live and contributed to the promotion and development of football in Ghana. Winning the FA will be a nice decoration for the boardroom.
John Antwi will lead the Dreams FC squad supported by Errnest Appiah, Godfred Sarpong , Abdul Razak Salifu and Mohammed Shaban Nazir. Dreams want a second sip from the MTN FACup.
After beating Asante Kotoko in the Premier League, they seem to have the edge.
Players like Seidu Suraj and goalkeeper Gidios Aseako have also been influential and effective.
However, the big question is who wins the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup?
