God Blesses What Produces
The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Deuteronomy 28:4
Fruitfulness as a blessing from God is a product of obedience.
God blesses our lives, our land, and our livelihood with increased fruitfulness when we walk in obedience to Him.
First, God blesses the fruit of our womb. This refers to the children we bear. When we walk in obedience to God, His blessing extends to our children and to the generations that come after us. Our obedience today can become a blessing to generations yet unborn.
Second, there is the blessing of the land. The land can represent what comes forth from our lives—our ideas, thoughts, abilities, and strength. God can bless the “land” of our hearts and the work of our minds and hands, enabling us to be productive, fruitful, and impactful.
Third, the fruitfulness of our livelihood speaks of God’s blessing upon the work we do and the means by which we provide for ourselves and others. As we obey God, the work of our hands can flourish and increase. Our economic provision and material productivity ultimately come from God, who gives us the ability and strength to prosper.
Obedience to God brings His blessing upon our lives, our land, and our livelihood. As we remain faithful to Him, may our lives become increasingly fruitful and may the fruit of our obedience bless generations after us.
May God rain His blessings upon us and cause everything connected to us to flourish. Shalom.
