The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has endorsed and blessed Nii Kojo Ashiefie Papanyira I the newly enstooled development chief of the state.

He applauded his unwavering commitment to promoting sports and youth development in Ghana. The King urged him to remain focused on his new responsibilities and to disregard distractions or criticisms meant to derail his efforts.

He also reminded the Noyaa Mantse to be selfless in his role, emphasizing that his actions as Development Chief should benefit the entire Ga State and not just his immediate family.

Expressing his gratitude to the Ga Mantse and the Gyaasetse, Dr. Nii Tetteh Quaye, the newly installed Nii Kojo Ashiefie Papanyira I who is known in private life as Ben Nunoo Mensah, said, “I am humbled by this great honour.” He dedicated the title to the sports fraternity, pledging to continue promoting sporting excellence in Ghana.

Nii Kojo Ashiefie Papanyira I stated that his immediate focus is to assist the King in developing the youth of the Ga State through education.

He is President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and former President of Ghana Weightlifting Federation. He loves other disciplines especially Football, Boxing, Cricket, Weightlifting, Swimming, Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, volleyball, Skating, Breaking, Tennis, Karate Do, Judo and very media friendly.

The enstoolment ceremony took place last Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the Ga Mantse Stool House in Ga Mashie where title “Nii Kojo Ashiefie Papanyira I” was conferred on the staunch Accra Hearts of Oak fan in recognition of his significant contributions to sports and national development.

As Ga ‘Feee’ Noyaa Mantse, Mr. Nunoo Mensah, who is also a Director of Barari DV Ghana Lithium Concession, will support the completion of key development projects initiated by the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, in the Ga State.

The colourful ceremony attracted dignitaries from the sports fraternity, traditional leaders, principal elders, his business partners, government officials, media and some members of the GOC Board.
